Introduction
Students have read about the start of the Great Depression
and the effect it had on the everyday lives of millions of
Americans. In this lesson, students will examine several photographs
of everyday people during the Depression.

Description
Students will analyze several photographs of Depression-era
photographer Dorothea Lange on the Pacific Pictures Web site.
Students will then answer questions about the photographs.
Instructional Objective
Students will be able to interpret photographs in order to
answer questions about them.
