Avant de Surfer
You and your family are planning to spend a year in France in the city of your choice. You must find the name and phone number of a doctor, a dentist, and a high school in "your" French city by using the on-line phone directory. Before you begin, answer the question on your worksheet.

If you need to find a city, click on the Map of France. When you click on Les Pages jaunes, you'll be asked to enter the name of the doctor/dentist/high school you're looking for. Since you're new to your city and don't know any names to input, simply type in médecin (dentiste, lycée) in the box marked Activité and then the name of the city in the box marked Localité. It is not necessary to fill in any of the other information. Now click Rechercher.

Note: In the next step you will be asked to specify what type of doctor (médecin généraliste, allergiste, etc.), dentist, or school you are looking for. Choose the correct category and click Rechercher again.

As you find the information, enter it in the carnet d'adresses on your worksheet. Bon surf!
